History of the DRC-Nigeria Business Council
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the DRC-Nigeria Business Council. Our Council was formed with the aim of promoting trade and investment growth between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria, as well as other African countries. We believe that by working together, we can create a strong and prosperous economic future for our nations.
The origin of the Council can be traced back to the long-standing relationship between DRC and Nigeria. We share a common history and culture, and our economies are complementary. However, we have not fully tapped into the immense potential that exists between our two nations. The Council was formed to bridge this gap and create a platform for increased trade and investment.
Our objectives and goals are clear. We aim to facilitate trade and investment between our two nations, promote the exchange of goods and services, and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. We also seek to encourage joint ventures and partnerships between Nigerian and Congolese businesses, as well as other African countries.

Foster Business Relations: Strengthen relationships between Nigerian and Congolese business communities through dialogue, networking, and collaboration.
Identify Opportunities: Identify and explore areas of mutual interest that can lead to increased economic cooperation and partnership.
Support Economic Growth: Contribute to the economic growth and development of both countries by encouraging investment in key sectors such as mining, agriculture, and technology.
Enhance Awareness: Raise awareness of the business opportunities available in both countries through publications, events, and outreach initiatives.
Advocate for Policy Support: Advocate for policies that support trade and investment between Nigeria and the DRC, ensuring a conducive business environment.
